The Golden State Warriors captured their second NBA title in 3 years winning it in 5 games. Once again, their rival was the Cleveland Cavaliers. That, of course, meant that they got to the Finals again in the 2016-2017 season. Needless to say the team was extremely dominant. Considered to be one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, Durant fit seamelessly with the Warriors system. Furthermore, the Golden State Warriors found themselves as the Western Conference Champions, which meant they were going to face the LeBron James’ led Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals. After finishing the season as the 2nd seed, Steph won his first MVP. In the 2014-1015 season, Curry flourished under the guidance of new head coach Steve Kerr. Steph was nicknamed the baby faced assassin, because of his ability to shoot the lights out After it finally looked like Steph’s ankle injuries are a thing of the past, Golden State became the title contender they always wanted to be. Nevertheless, him and backcourt teammate Klay Thompson quickly garnered the league’s attention as two of the best shooters in the league at the time, giving them the nickname The Splash Brothers. However, the first few years of his career, Steph was dealing with ankle injuries, which sidelined him for some time. Slowly but surely the team’s front office started noticing his superstar potential and finally decided to make him the centerpiece of the team.
